They are acquired by human effort and are the fruit of morally good acts. Traditionally these are described as the Cardinal Virtues of Prudence, Justice, Fortitude and Temperance. The Theological Virtues of Faith, Hope and Charity relate directly to God and adapt man’s faculties for participation in the divine nature.

A wrong act cannot be made right by intention or circumstances, however intention and/or circumstances can turn a right or neutral object into a wrong one.  Right and wrong v. good and bad.   An objectively wrong act is one contrary to the 10 commandments.
