Fr. Robbie’s 32 page full colour book children’s book ‘MAMA MIA and the PIZZA PIE PARTY‘ is now sold via the Aid to the Church in Need bookshop at £6.50 per copy. Beautifully illustrated by his artist friend and neighbour, Jan Burrell, this charming story of the virtues of friendship and faith, set in a little Italian town in the 1950s, will also teach children and grandchildren a little Italian and how to make the perfect pizza.
Bishop Mark, Bishop of Plymouth writes: “This gentle book is a tender reminder of the importance of family, faith, friendship and sharing good food. I recommend it and am grateful that all the proceeds will go to help needy children.”
Since publication in December 2020, Mama Mia has raised £3000 for children’s charities: £1000 for Mary’s Meals, £1000 for Aid to the Church in Need, £500 for a local church Scout group and £500 Little Harbour Children’s Hospice, Porthpean, Cornwall. This is a wonderful result and thanks go to the many people who have bought copies. Now the book will be sold direct from Aid to the Church in Need and all proceeds will go to support this wonderful charity.
