2030-2051. The Church is Mother and Teacher. From the Church the Christian receives the Word of God containing the teachings of the ‘law of Christ’ (Galatians 6:2). From the Church he receives the grace of the sacraments to sustain him on the way. From the Church he learns the example of holiness and recognizes its model in the all-holy Virgin Mary (2030). 1996-2005. Our justification comes from the grace of God. Grace is a favour, the free and underserved help that God gives us to respond to his call to become children of God, adoptive sons and daughters, partakers of the divine nature and of eternal life. Grace is a participation in the life of God, it is supernatural, sanctifying. It asks for our free response.
