Catechism of the Catholic Church Section 3 – 7 Mortal Sin (1854-1861) by Fr Guy de Gaynesford

CCC Artwork for podcast Section 31854-1861. The Gravity of Sin. Traditionally the Church has divided sin into ‘mortal’ or ‘deadly’ sin and venial or ‘less serious’ sin. Fr Guy explains what we mean by a sin that kills the soul and the Scriptural basis of this teaching. The Church holds that full knowledge and complete consent is necessary for a sin to be mortal. The remedy –  the grace of God received in the Sacrament of Confession.
