With particular reference to Exodus Chapter 24, Fr Robbie Low shows how Christ fulfils what is prefigured in the Old Testament and replaces the sacrifices of animals which have to be offered again and again in atonement for man’s sins, with the one perfect, never to be repeated, sacrifice of himself at Calvary, perpetuated in the celebration of the Eucharist.

Four talks on the Catholic understanding of priesthood given by Fr Robbie Low. In this first talk Fr Robbie reviews the the concept of priesthood found in the Old Testament beginning with the earliest accounts in Genesis of the thanksgiving offerings of Abel, Noah, Abraham and Melchisidek. He shows how the law of Moses and the Levitical Priesthood foreshadow the one true sacrifice of Christ and the thanksgiving offering of the Eucharist.

1996-2005. Our justification comes from the grace of God. Grace is a favour, the free and underserved help that God gives us to respond to his call to become children of God, adoptive sons and daughters, partakers of the divine nature and of eternal life. Grace is a participation in the life of God, it is supernatural, sanctifying. It asks for our free response.
